Frequently asked questions
Practical answers for P6 schedule reviewers
Do I need to create an account?
No. The free XER check accepts one file without registration. Subscribers can review every available row, copy report tables, download charts, save schedules by project, and compare later updates.
What is limited in the free preview?
The single-schedule preview runs important logic, timing, calendar, milestone, and resource checks and displays the complete finding total for each one, but each detail table shows no more than five example rows.
Is this a DCMA 14-Point Assessment?
No. The free XER check is a single-schedule analysis preview. Schedule Tracker's separate DCMA 14-Point Assessment evaluates the formal criteria using a saved schedule and, where required, a verified baseline.
How long does the XER check take?
Most XER previews finish in approximately 8 to 15 seconds. Large schedules can take one to two minutes, and the page updates automatically when the report is ready.
Can the XER contain multiple projects?
Yes. If an XER contains more than one exported primary project, the preview analyzes the first one in the export and displays a prominent notice identifying the selected project.
Is the uploaded schedule retained?
The source XER and temporary database tables are deleted after the limited HTML report is generated. The cached HTML preview expires automatically after a short period, and you can choose Delete this preview now at any time. Previews are bound to your browser session and are not shared via a public link.
